So I've got a 2019 Range Rover Sport and for the past couple weeks the infotainment screen has been acting weird, like it restarts randomly while driving and the blind spot warning sometimes just doesn't turn on. I took it to a garage in Al Quoz and they said nothing showed up on the diagnostic computer but a friend who used to own a Discovery told me these cars go absolutely haywire when the battery starts getting weak, even before you notice any starting issues. That actually makes sense because I've noticed the auto start stop hasn't worked in months and I just thought it was the heat. Before I spend a fortune at the dealership I was reading through
https://batteryzoneuae.com/land-rover-battery-replacement/ and it seems like these cars need a specific type of AGM battery and something about registering the new one to the computer. Has anyone here replaced their Land Rover battery at a specialist shop instead of the dealer? Did it fix all the random electrical nonsense or am I looking at a deeper problem? Really don't want to throw money at the wrong thing.
